Karl Dominic Geissbuhler (b.1932 in Winterthur, Switzerland) was trained as a graphic artist with Ernst Keller and Johannes Itten at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich, and later at the Kunsthochschule in Berlin. He was the art director of an advertising agency until 1963 when he began work independently. He designed more than 150 posters for British airways and Zurich Opera.
La Périchole is an opéra bouffe in three acts by Jacques Offenbach. Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy wrote the French libretto based on the 1829 one act play Le carrosse du Saint-Sacrement by Prosper Mérimée, which was revived on 13 March 1850 at the Théâtre-Français. Karl Domenic Geissbuhler In 1981 he created the stage design for the Zurich Opera House's production of the ballet 'Der Narziss' as part of the June Festival of Music and Theatre (AGI)
