RARE beautifully printed 1979 NYC Art exhibition poster with a photograph of a mural by TAVA once located at Pier 46. "Gustav Von Will aka Tava, was an Austrian born mural artist who died of AIDS on January 15, 1991 in New York City. Sadly, not much is known about Tava except that he appeared in Him (1974) — an adult gay feature film directed by Ed D. Louie — in the role of Jesus. The film premiered on March 27, 1974 at the 55th Street Playhouse in New York. The film was virtually unknown until 1979, when it was cited in the book The Golden Turkey Awards, where it was listed as the "Most Unerotic Concept in Pornography." As of 2020, no copy of 'Him' has been located. It was cited among the most sought-after lost films by the online magazine Film Threat." (Online Source: @THEAIDSMEMORIAL).
