c. 1952 Post-World-War-II Goodyear magazine advertisement predicting a return to rigid airship passenger aircrafts. Goodyear had lofty goals in mind for their blimps after their service in WWII. Some of the additional text tries to reassure the weary reader: "Today airships get their lift from non-inflammable helium-the gas that helps make airships so remarkably safe. Look at the record of the helium-filled Goodyear "Blimp" Fleet, which flew for 16 peacetime years without a passenger accident. Look at the helium-filled U. S. Navy Airship record of World War II. Despite the hazards of military service, air-ships proved themselves as stable and dependable as anything that flies!" But this dream of commercial air travel via blimp post wwII never came to fruition.
